@cavyherd @cstross Well, that's kind of the problem -- they *do* make the actual products their customers buy and like to use. (I know "smaller phones!" except nobody actually buys them) It's just that they can't really make new things that are spectacularly better than two generations older things any more and the new things is as good as but not particularly better than the old things.
Which is fine, at some point you iterate on a thing and get it right. Which they've pretty much done.
